Short Poem

This is what challenges are,
Is it hard to come up with phrases that flow?
A rhyme scheme that is
Short, sweet, and to the point?
Poem.

Quote~

- I am what I am. What I failed to do today, I will succeed tomorrow. What I succeed today... Well let's just face it, succeeding feels pretty sweet.

EMBARRASSED

Color rushing to my cheeks,
Words fall silent
As grins spread on faces.
All around me, sneers.
                 "You like him~"
I do.
                 "You want him~"
Not quite.

I turn a darker shade of red,
Much like a strawberry.
                "You want him, bad~"
No.

I bury my face in my arms,
Hiding from them all,
My secret I've tried so hard to keep,
Revealed.
      Wolf howls, cat calls,
I am flushed in a red velvet,
                "Stop," I whisper.
The teasing continues.

I am so embarrassed.

Speechless

I feel naked,
So bare,
Like a deer caught in the headlights,
Frankly, scared.
I'm petrified around you,
I feel muted.
My soul taken away.
My thoughts frozen.
Every word to say flies from me,
My blue sky skills turn gray.
I don't know what to say to you,
I don't know what to do.
Muscle spasms force my body to take leaps and turns when you see me,
But it's only on the inside.
If you could see my feelings for you,
Would you turn away?
Leave me, dead, to rot,
On the cellar floor,
Repulsed by my feelings,
Rejected forevermore,
So instead of being me around you,
I remain mute like an African dog,
Pass glances in the hallway,
And try to be comfortable with the thought,
That You and I is just a fantasy,
A dream that won't come true,
So instead of saying just one word,
I'm speechless around you.

Newly Weds

Ocean waves swiftly turning,
            In this sea of blue,
Giggles Errupt from deep below,
In the blackest light of a new moon,
Legs flailr in a child's game,
And life as we know it will forever change,
A gold glistening when hands collide,
            Will innocence never die?
Silly days, and silly nights of feeling,
            In this silky sea.
It's not the love of newly weds in a sunlit room,
It's the love quite long ago,
And it burns like a roaring fire,
No, instead of the love of two in one,
It's the love of little children,
As they tickle each other in a childish game
Undeneathe a sea of covers.

About Me

What am I? I am every inch of emotion, head to toe. Filled with happiness, love, and care; Sadness, anger, and depression. I am a woman, happy to be who I am. I am an older sister, a friend, and a responsible student. I am an athlete, an artist, and a dancer. You can top me off with a little bit of edge, and I am who I am. I am Ishiko. Little Stone~.
